Veit integrates scientific insights into construction processes and uses data-driven decision-making to improve safety standards.

His core competency: Exposure analyses for emission-relevant construction materials.

Jianbin develops real-time-capable control systems for mobile machinery. He links sensor data, AI-based object detection, and control logic to create end-to-end system solutions.

His area of expertise: Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA information models).

Jan improves the energy efficiency and automation capability of mobile machines by simulating machine behavior and their control logic in work processes.

Janik focuses on the holistic digitalization of process workflows on construction sites. This also involves examining workplace safety on today’s and tomorrow’s construction sites.

His goal: Rethinking the construction process.

Paul develops and constructs fully functional demonstrators for validating and presenting domain-specific Industry 4.0 applications. He also implements software for desktop applications and microcontroller platforms.

His focus: Advancing fluid technology in the context of digital twins using asset administration shells (AAS).

Lisa strengthens the practical deployment of BIM methods through her research and consulting work. She oversees project management for the construction of our new facility in Görlitz.

Her goal: Enabling innovative solutions by connecting mechanical engineering and construction management.

Lea is responsible for the visual implementation and creation of social media content, news posts, and print materials.

Her area of expertise: Content and communication.

Felix supports and advises on the development of demonstrators as communication media. He shares his “outside perspective” with the team and fosters interdisciplinary exchanges.

His focus: Developing innovative communication spaces for presenting research findings – we call them “playful spaces for serious change.”

Johannes connects regulatory requirements with practical applications. He analyzes and evaluates construction processes and systems of the future.

His area of expertise: Tendering procedures and machinery procurement.

Florian links the interdisciplinary fields of material, machine, and process-control to develop system solutions for additive construction. His research and development activities combine an empirical focus with the transfer of results to practical construction applications.

His focus: Extrusion-based 3D printing of innovative construction materials.

Julian develops new software solutions and adapts existing ones for mobile work machines. He is responsible for selecting, assembling, and integrating suitable hardware for our machines and demonstrators.

His goal: Developing new solutions for established systems.
